Who am I?
I am a happy and positive 18-year-old guy living in Utby (eastern Gothenburg) every other week. I have personal assistance and am now seeking a substitute for my wonderful team!
I have autism, which means I sometimes need a little help getting started and going out to do fun activities. I can do a lot on my own but appreciate support with things like meals, hygiene, and getting dressed and undressed. I understand everything you say, but I do not speak myself. However, I sign Yes and No, and you will soon learn to recognize my sounds and signals.
I have many interests - I like music, swimming, taking the bus, visiting the library, and Trädgårdsföreningen. Riding roller coasters is among the best things I know! I'm also really good at reading maps and bus schedules.
Who are you?
You who are applying like to be active and keep up with the pace! It's good if you have decent physical endurance, as the days can sometimes be fast-paced. Experience working with people with autism is a plus, but not a requirement - the most important thing is that you are calm, confident, and have genuine commitment.
I am not aggressive. There is a car (automatic transmission) that we can use, so a driver's license is an advantage. Since there is a dog in the home, you need to be comfortable with animals and not have allergies.
What does a work shift look like?
On weekdays, you'll meet me in town when I finish school. We'll take a taxi home together, eat something delicious, and do something fun - maybe an outing by public transport, having coffee in Trädgårdsföreningen, or visiting the library. The day ends at my home in Utby.
About the position
Scope: approx. 25%
Working hours: Every other week (odd weeks), evening time
Schedule:
* Monday 4-8 PM
* Tuesday 4-9 PM
* Wednesday 3-8 PM
* Thursday 2-8 PM
Occasional weekend shifts may occur.
