JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Do you want to work preventively and contribute to strengthening the well-being of children and parents in our municipality? We are seeking an engaged family counselor for the Social Services Support and Treatment Unit. About Us The Support and Treatment Unit works to offer early, accessible, and preventive interventions for families. We collaborate closely with Child Healthcare and the Midwifery Clinic to create secure growth conditions for children in the municipality. Two days a week, we staff the Midwifery Clinic and Child Healthcare to be close to families and personnel. Your Responsibilities As a family counselor, you will: Meet all expectant parents in the municipality once during pregnancy in collaboration with the midwifery clinic. Meet all families during the child's 4-month and 3-year checkups at Child Healthcare. Participate in tripartite conversations, coordinated individual plans (SIP), and other joint meetings with guardians, often to inform about social services' work and support. Provide support and guidance to healthcare staff regarding concern notifications or support intervention applications. Participate in home visits with Child Healthcare in Tingsryds and Ryd when needed. Coordinate and invite regular collaboration meetings with Child Healthcare, preschools, and the clinic. Lecture together with the clinic about social services' work during parents' meetings at municipal preschools. Parent-supporting conversations. Lead parent education groups: - Circle of Security (COS) - ABC All Children in Center QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone who: Has a social work degree or other relevant higher education. Has experience working with children, families, or parent support activities. Enjoys collaboration across organizational boundaries and has a good ability to create trusting relationships.
