Do you want to work in a positive and stimulating workplace with committed and competent colleagues? We at the Foster Care Unit are now seeking a foster care secretary for our work group of ten foster care secretaries and one lead social secretary.
At the Foster Care Unit in the City Center, around 50 people work with foster homes, placed children, contact and support activities, as well as recruitment and training of foster homes and other assignment holders. The unit primarily serves the Social Administration of the City Center (previously City Center, Majorna-Linné, and Örgryte-Härlanda) with foster homes, emergency homes, contact families, and contact persons.
Your primary tasks will include investigating, matching, and mentoring foster homes. Documentation includes investigation, journaling, committee documentation, agreements, and economic documentation.
We are a stable work group characterized by shared responsibility. We have external group supervision and several ongoing development projects at the unit. Our office is located in pleasant premises on Prinsgatan in central Gothenburg.

Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with a social work degree and experience working with foster homes or with children and youth in social services.
Training in investigating and mentoring foster homes is meritorious.
A driver's license is required for the position. Good ability to work both independently and collaboratively is required. Similarly, you should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
As we are a unit with ongoing development work, it is important that you are flexible and see opportunities in changes. We are looking for someone who is pleasant and helpful to others.

Our social assignments are numerous, ranging from official authority to promotional and preventive interventions. We work locally but also have city-wide activities to meet our residents' needs.
