About this role

Ref: 20252667 Since September 2025, Umgåsen has been running the project "Contact Person for Visitation," a three-year development project aimed at creating an accessible and clear initiative for children's visitation through contact persons approved by social services. The project is staffed by two family home social workers who work closely with a section manager. As one of our team members is moving on to new assignments, we are looking for a new colleague to join the team. The project aims to: • Relieve the family home care and investigation sections • Increase the flow of cases at Umgåsen • Provide better support and guidance to contact persons in their roles • Broaden the range of services for children and families in Malmö City Job Responsibilities As a family home social worker in the Contact Person for Visitation project, you will be responsible for: • Recruiting, investigating, and supervising contact persons who work with children's visitation • Offering individual and group supervision to contact persons • Following up and documenting in the child's case file • Contributing to the development of routines, quality, and working methods within the project • Collaborating closely with colleagues, the section manager, and other staff within Umgåsen's operations • Working with the child's social worker, family homes, and parents • Presenting and informing about the project both within Malmö City and to external stakeholders We Offer At Umgåsen, you will have the opportunity to be part of a smaller, dedicated team where your contributions make a difference, and we focus on the best interests of the child. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in Social Work, experience in investigative work within social services, and at least three years of experience in social work with families with children aged 1–12 years. Meritorious: • Experience in supporting visitation • Experience in supporting, guiding, and supervising contractors or others in work-related situations • Experience in investigating and/or supervising contact persons • Experience in working with documentation in Lifecare • Experience in project-based work To thrive at Umgåsen, we want you to have experience working in a team, possess good collaboration skills, and have a responsive approach to your colleagues. You should have a strong ability to drive processes and create structure in a development-oriented work environment, as well as the capability to take initiative and work independently. You should also be comfortable adapting to changing circumstances in your work and have the ability to adjust according to the situation. Additionally, you should be comfortable speaking in front of groups and have a commitment to children's needs and their right to safe relationships. About the Workplace Umgåsen is part of the IFO Insats department and is a part of Malmö City's support for children and parents during separation or placement. We offer safe and child-friendly forms of visitation—either on-site in our visitation facility or at other locations such as homes or public environments. The operation works on behalf of social services and aims to create safety, continuity, and structure in children's visitation with their parents or other relatives.
