About this role

We are currently in an exciting phase of development with changes within the organization. We have employees who have taken on new roles within the unit, which has created opportunities for more people to become part of our team. We are now seeking a family home secretary with a particular focus on guidance and support. With us, you will have the chance to support the families who do the most important work – providing children with safety and a stable place to grow up. The family home unit belongs to the social administration, children’s area, and consists of a unit manager, an assistant unit manager, three team leaders, and 20 caseworkers. Here, we work collaboratively with a shared commitment to ensuring that children and young people have safe and sustainable placements. We are a team with broad expertise and a strong focus on children; with us, you will receive support and development in your work. **JOB DESCRIPTION** As a family home secretary, you will guide, support, and follow up with our family homes in their important tasks. This means being a close support in daily life, available when questions arise or when difficult situations need to be managed. You will work closely with the child’s social worker and child follower, and sometimes with other authorities. Part of your role will also involve participating in the recruitment of new family homes and conducting certain investigations related to that. You will hold informational meetings, renew contracts, and assess the financial compensation for the family homes, in accordance with SKR's guidelines. Availability for duty may occur on certain days each semester, which means you may sometimes work outside regular hours. **QUALIFICATIONS** We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or a behavioral science degree with additional qualifications that meet the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's professional requirements for social workers (basic and advanced levels in social work, social law, and psychology). It is an advantage if you have worked as a family home secretary or have experience in other social work. Additionally, if you have experience with government authority functions, working with children and families, or have knowledge of NPF/mental health issues, that is a plus. You should also have good IT skills. It is beneficial if you have documented experience in social work, especially if you have used the VIVA system. A valid driver's license (B) is required. You are confident in yourself and can meet families with respect and sensitivity. You have the ability to help families handle difficult situations calmly and professionally. Your role is to be present, offer advice, and create safety throughout the entire process. You have good collaboration skills, but also the courage to set boundaries and stand firm when the situation demands it. You are articulate in writing and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
