About this role
How Can We Provide Children with the Best Conditions to Grow Up Safely and Develop?
This is one of the questions we work with daily. We are now seeking two Family Foster Care Secretaries with a focus on supporting foster families. As a Family Foster Care Secretary, you will have a key role in supporting foster families to meet children's needs.
Here, we work closely together and with other stakeholders to create the best possible conditions for placed children. With us, you will have both a meaningful everyday work and opportunity to develop in your professional role.
YOUR ROLE
In the role of Family Foster Care Secretary, you will guide and strengthen families so they can provide children with the care they need. You will maintain continuous contact with foster families and be there as support in daily life. The work also involves close collaboration with the child's social worker and other networks around the child. Additionally, you will be responsible for contracts, administer compensation, and conduct investigations when needed. The role involves many contacts, both with families, colleagues in individual and family care, and with other authorities and organizations. It is work that is both varied and challenging – where you have the opportunity to truly make a difference. We are proud to offer foster families and children support from a special education teacher and psychologist in their schooling, as we are affiliated with Skolfam.
YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE
We are seeking someone with a social work degree and knowledge of children and youth needs and development. You need to have good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, and be able to express yourself well in communication and documentation.
Beyond this, we consider it meritorious if you have experience working as a Family Foster Care Secretary or in similar roles supporting adults in parenting. It is also positive if you have experience with investigations in social services, have worked with people in care, service, or pedagogical contexts, as well as experience working with children and families from different cultures.
As a person, you are confident, collaborative, and have the ability to think analytically and systematically. This means you need to be able to plan and organize your work, manage stress constructively, build trusting relationships, and simultaneously be able to see logic and connections in various situations and contexts.
