Then you might be the one we are looking for! Your role with us One of our family home social workers has chosen to move on to a different position. As part of our commitment to continue developing family home placement services, the department has decided to increase the number of family home social workers, which means we are now seeking three family home social workers. As a family home social worker, you will work with the monitoring and guidance of family homes. You will create a trusting and supportive relationship with the family home by providing assistance and guidance in their role. You will also be responsible for investigating contact families. In this role, you will be delegated responsibilities for contracts and compensation matters, ensuring that processing of individual cases is rights-based and that established routines are followed. You will continuously collaborate with investigating social workers, the child’s social worker, colleagues in the family home team, and the professional network based on the child’s needs. Cooperation with colleagues within the department as well as with external partners is also part of the role. Who are we looking for? We would like you to be self-assured, structured, flexible, creative, and courageous. The ability to embrace responsibility and handle difficult and urgent situations is an advantage. Being a person who can work both independently and collaboratively with team members is appreciated. We value the ability to listen, show empathy, and demonstrate respect. A degree in social work is required for this position. We prefer candidates who have completed training in BBIC and foundational and advanced training in Signs of Safety. Experience in recruitment methodologies for family home placements and training in "A Home to Grow In" is a plus. Experience in the exercise of authority within social services is required, and familiarity with family home care is preferred. Since communication and documentation are integral to the job, you need to have a strong ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written language. Experience working with the Lifecare system is also an advantage. Applicants must hold a valid B driving license and have cycling skills to navigate our municipality as needed. The department is responsible for investigations and interventions for children and youth aged 0-20 who need protection and support, including family home placements. Additionally, the department works with family law cases and preventive measures in the municipality of Kristianstad. The Child and Youth Services currently comprises eight units: a preventive work unit, three investigation units with reception teams, five investigation teams, an outpatient care unit, a residential care unit, a family law unit, and a task unit (child social work teams and family home teams).
