About Us
Kasam Treatment Families is part of the Kasam and Avara group – an organization focused on children and youth with neuropsychiatric difficulties, trauma, or psychosocial issues. We offer consultant-supported foster care, treatment families, as well as investigative and support measures through our specialist teams.
At Avara Specialist Team, we work cross-professionally with expertise in protection, honor-based violence, trauma, behavioral problems, and gang-related vulnerability. Our work is characterized by safety, structure, treatment, and relationship-building support – always with the best interests of the child in focus.
About the Role
As a Family Home Consultant in Avara's specialist team, you will have a central and varied role. Your responsibilities include:
• Providing support, guidance, and supervision to foster homes and treatment families
• Conducting investigations according to "A Lasting Relationship"
• Coordinating efforts in close collaboration with social services, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), and schools
• Developing implementation plans, follow-ups, and documentation according to BBIC
• Participating in matching work and recruiting new foster homes
• Engaging in methodological supervision and quality development alongside Avara Specialist Team
You will be part of an experienced and committed team where psychologists, therapists, social workers, and safety coordinators collaborate to create safety and development for placed children.
We Are Looking For You Who
• Holds a degree in social work or another relevant higher education in social services
• Has at least three years of experience working within social services and foster care
• Demonstrates strong documentation, organization, and collaboration skills
• Is confident in your professional role, self-motivated, and has an engaging approach to relationships
• Holds a valid driver's license (B category) and can travel for work
It is advantageous if you have training or experience in areas such as: DBT, TMO, MI, CBT, Safety Circles, Re-Pulse, trauma work, or safety work (Check-15, HEVA, FREDA, SARA-V).
