The Social Administration of the City of Stockholm has an overarching and coordinating role for social services related to individual and family care and the area of disabilities. Here, we create favorable conditions to meet residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with the district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, legally secure, equal, and knowledge-based social service, with a strong focus on development. Within the administration, a wide range of support measures are offered to the city's residents, and this offering changes based on the needs of Stockholmers and the wishes of the district administrations. The work often occurs in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society, and the business sector. The Social Administration is also responsible for the city's serving and tobacco licenses and conducts supervision. Family Home Inspector - Emergency and Family Homes, City of Stockholm Welcome to us We are currently seeking two family home inspectors for the unit Emergency and Family Homes, City of Stockholm. As the area is developing and new working methods are set to be launched in 2026 within the operations of Central Recruitment and Investigation of Emergency and Family Homes, the staff group will be expanded. Your role You will work based on the legislation and knowledge support available, valuing evidence-based practice. In your role, you will be responsible for the recruitment and initial assessment of families' general suitability to become emergency or family homes. This is done by receiving incoming expressions of interest, conducting investigative conversations, and compiling the information gathered in family home investigations. As the assignment is under development, you will be part of creating and testing the new working methods. The role involves close collaboration with the family home units of the district administrations. To thrive in this role, we see that you are committed to providing excellent service and can communicate and generate interest among families regarding the assignment as emergency and family homes. The workgroup is also responsible for basic training and continuing education for emergency and family homes in the City of Stockholm. You are comfortable speaking in front of groups and can convey information in an accessible manner. We are looking for someone who can contribute ideas and innovative thinking, as we are continually developing the operation. Together with your colleagues, you will be a driving force in the work ahead. Your main responsibilities include, among others: - Updating and processing cases - Gathering information and making assessments - Conducting investigative conversations and compiling investigations - Documenting according to practice - Training emergency and family homes in "A Home to Grow In" Your qualifications and experience The work as a family home inspector requires that you have the ability and enjoy independently and systematically planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work well. You thrive in working together with colleagues and being part of a team. You are service-oriented, enjoy collaborating with other professionals, and can relate to others in a responsive manner. You show understanding and respect for people's diverse backgrounds, cultures, and group affiliations. You enjoy handling a large amount of information and then structuring it into finished materials for the district administrations to utilize. You are good at administration and see it as necessary for good work and outcomes. For this position, you are required to have: - A degree in social work - At least three years of relevant experience in public authority work with a focus on investigation, specifically in the area of children and youth - Good knowledge of the needs of placed children - Experience working with emergency homes and/or family homes - Good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written - A valid driver's license (B) It is advantageous if you have: - Work experience from the City of Stockholm - Education and experience in investigating family homes - Experience in the recruitment of emergency and family homes - Basic training as a course leader for "A Home to Grow In." Other The area of emergency and family homes, as well as short-term stays, is part of the Social Administration's department for social support. This area is a city-wide resource that provides services related to children and youth who are placed, as well as support for emergency and family homes and adoptive parents. The area consists of four units. Of these units, one focuses on the recruitment, training, and placement of emergency and family homes
