Family Therapist

JOB DESCRIPTION The open care unit is seeking a new colleague! The Child and Youth Unit consists of a governmental group and our open care services, Gnistan and Ankaret. Gnistan focuses on parents and children, while Ankaret is more directed towards youth. In the governmental group, we have specialized functions for reception, foster care, family law, investigative social workers, and a senior social worker. We are now looking for a family therapist for our open care, which currently consists of seven employees: four family therapists, one youth therapist, and two social workers who work proactively in the field. The open care unit has its own facilities adapted to its operations. This position will be based at Gnistan. The work primarily involves assignments from social workers, both during investigations and upon granting interventions after the investigation. Working on change processes within families is a crucial part of the role. Furthermore, family therapists work with various support programs targeting parents, children, or youth and also play an important role during the transition from foster homes and residential care facilities. Collaboration with other agencies and partners is part of the job. As a family therapist, you primarily work during the day, but since assignments are based on families' needs, it may occasionally require working evenings and weekends. In your daily work, you will receive support and guidance from a senior social worker. Therapeutic training equivalent to level 1 is preferred. Experience in family therapy with children, youth, and parents is a prerequisite. It is advantageous if you have experience with various methods and/or models such as Safe Children, The Staircase, FFT, ABC, MI, BBIC, etc. We want you to have a natural ability to build relationships and collaborate with both the families you encounter and with colleagues and partners internally and externally. You have good reflective skills and are humble regarding the varying life circumstances of families. You maintain a positive demeanor and excel at inspiring and motivating others.
