Family Therapist for the Support Unit

We at the Individual and Family Care/Support Unit are now seeking a Family Therapist. The Support Unit is an early preventive and supportive service that adapts to the entire family's life situation. RESPONSIBILITIES - Actively guide parents both in groups and individually - Offer counseling and support conversations, guiding parents in their parenting at home and at the unit - Provide advice and support to youth in various contexts - Serve as a contact person for the municipality's schools, working together with school staff for individual children's best interests QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking candidates with a degree in social pedagogy/social work or another equivalent education/experience as assessed by the employer. You have knowledge and experience of children's and youth's physical, mental, and cognitive development, as well as knowledge of parental capacity and parenting. You have experience running various parent groups. You are engaged and actively seek current knowledge and new insights within the field. As a family therapist, you are responsible, skilled at creating contacts, collaborating, and driving development work. Your competence includes approaching parents with openness, commitment, and meeting family/individual needs in a professional and flexible manner. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS You are unpretentious, have a sense of humor, and good self-awareness. The work requires critical thinking and the ability to quickly adapt working methods and hours when the situation demands.
