About this role

The Social Administration of Bollebygd is now expanding its operations with a family therapist who will belong to the Resource Unit. Currently, the Resource Unit has 16 employees working in various areas such as preventive work, family therapy, addiction care, support for relatives, family centers, family counseling, integration, labor market initiatives, and youth development, including the management of a youth center. Bollebygd, a young and expanding municipality, has future potential characterized by a holistic view, sustainable development, and growth. JOB DESCRIPTION The position involves providing advice, support, and treatment for children and adolescents and their parents or other significant relationships. We focus on the new social services law, where we are investing even more in services without means testing. As a therapist, we also offer service conversations to residents. As a family therapist, you will tailor interventions based on the needs identified in the assessment of children and youth, as well as the changes the family wishes to make in their lives. We meet families in our facilities, in their home environment, and at other locations. Most of our work is conducted during office hours, with some late afternoons and early evenings. The intervention is always based on the needs of children and youth. Examples of tasks may include improving communication and relationships among family members, strengthening parenting skills, and establishing better routines at home. In this role, you will receive methodological support and process supervision. QUALIFICATIONS Requirements: • Degree in Social Work or another bachelor's degree deemed equivalent by the employer • Valid driver's license (B) Meritorious: • Experience working with youth and adults • Experience in family therapy • Experience in public authority work related to children, youth, or adults • Experience working with parenting programs • Training in MI (Motivational Interviewing), LAB (Low Arousal Approach), or FFT (Functional Family Therapy) You are driven, independent, responsible, flexible, and have an easy time collaborating and building relationships with children, youth, and adults, as well as with other professionals. You enjoy varied assignments and can be flexible based on situational needs. You have a systemic approach that views the family as a whole. The position requires a strong ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
