About this role
Make a Difference for Young People – Every Day.
About the Workplace
In the city, the Social Administration is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become independent in life so they can take an active part in society.
At Maria Skåne Nordväst, we work to provide young people up to 25 years old with a safe path towards a life free from harmful use and dependency. We are a unique collaborative operation between several municipalities in Northwest Skåne and Region Skåne's adult psychiatry and child and youth psychiatry.
Here, professionals such as family therapists, nurses, and doctors meet in a cross-professional team. Together, we offer counseling, treatment, and support – for both young people and their families.
With us, you'll work in an environment where commitment, development, and collaboration are at the center.
Job Responsibilities
As a Family Therapist, you'll be a key person in supporting youth and young adults with risk use or dependency issues – and their families.
You'll work both independently and in teams with individual treatment interventions and family therapy. Your days may include conversations with young people, meetings with parents, collaboration with social services and regional colleagues – always with the goal of creating real change.
We offer a structured introduction with a mentor and regular method supervision. You'll also have opportunities for further education based on your interests and our operational needs.
What We Offer
With us, you'll work in an organization where people, development, and meaningfulness are in focus.
As an employee of the Social Administration in Helsingborg, you'll have access to:
• Wellness allowance of 3000 SEK
• A workplace that values balance, commitment, and collegial support
Qualifications
We're seeking someone who is passionate about working with young people and wants to contribute to an integrated approach where mental health and dependency care meet.
You have:
• Social work degree or other relevant university education
• At least 5 years of experience in social services or treatment work
• At least 3 years of experience working with harmful use/dependency
• Experience working with youth or young adults
• Driver's license
It is meritorious if you have:
• Advanced training or experience with methods like systemic family therapy, CBT, HAP, MI, FFT, MET, DBT
• Assessment instruments in dependency care
• Experience with self-assessment forms
• Experience from integrated operations and cross-professional collaboration
We place great importance on personal suitability – the most important thing for us is that you want to make a difference.
