About the Workplace
The Social Interventions Unit consists of Child, Youth, and Family, Adult Support and Treatment, and Family Support Center. The unit comprises dedicated and driven colleagues all working towards the goal of providing citizens with good treatment and support tailored to individual needs. We have close leadership from EC and TL that provides support in daily work.
This year, we have been working on the transition to the new Social Services Act. We are proud of the organizational development we are now implementing, focused on reaching individuals at an early stage before problems arise or become significant. We aim to lower thresholds and offer faster interventions without needs assessment.
Job Responsibilities
As a family therapist, you will work with a holistic approach towards children, youth, and their families. You will perform psychosocial change work that includes a comprehensive view of the family's needs, utilizing the family's own resources. An intervention with us may include supportive and therapeutic conversations with the goal of highlighting the family's own resources to ultimately handle difficulties independently.
The work also involves providing advice and support to schools, parents, and other stakeholders. A significant part of the job is building relationships and alliances with these families and their networks, as well as collaborating with actors who need to be involved in work surrounding a family.
Qualifications
We are seeking someone who is passionate about social work with competence and knowledge in family therapy. You should be educated as a social pedagogue, behavioral scientist, or social worker. You have experience with qualified family work with the target group and feel comfortable meeting individuals both individually and as a family. You have a respectful and solution-focused approach that creates good and trustworthy collaboration with our children/youth, parents, families, colleagues, and partners. Experience with early preventive interventions is meritorious.
Desirable qualifications include experience with child, parent, and family conversations, knowledge of a system-oriented approach and attachment theory. We also look positively on experience working with domestic violence and honor-related issues. Meritorious additional qualifications include training in child conversations (Trappan, Whole Child, Tejping), FFT, Step 1, NPF diagnoses, and previous experience with group activities/parental education. A B driver's license is required.
As a person, you collaborate easily and have a good ability to work independently and with others, with good initiative and the ability to plan and organize your work. You work towards set goals and follow up on results. For our team, it's important that you participate in organizational development and collaborate with colleagues and managers to contribute to a well-functioning and high-quality operation. You work in a legally secure manner based on current legislation, applicable regulations, guidelines, routines, and instructions.
You contribute with participation, responsibility for your own work, and personal engagement. We place great importance on personal suitability and strive for collegiality and good work ability both internally and externally. You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
