Facility & Utility Manager

Job Description Are you ready to take full responsibility for both utility and facility management in a GXP-regulated environment at a world-leading life-saving product manufacturer? Fresenius Kabi in Uppsala is now seeking a confident, present, and strategic leader for the Facility & Utility Manager role. Here you'll have the opportunity to lead an experienced team, stabilize daily operations, and simultaneously drive strategic development of the facility's properties and media systems. As Facility & Utility Manager, you will be part of the Technical Service & EHS management team for Operations Sweden. You will lead a team of approximately 11 specialists in media and facility management, responsible for operation, service, and maintenance of critical systems. This includes water for injection (WFI) and pure steam production, cooling systems, ventilation, compressed air, and nitrogen gas. Responsibilities The role is both strategic and operational. An important initial focus will be providing the team with stability, daily management, and security. You are expected to be a present manager who supports daily work. Simultaneously, you will look ahead, drive facility development, and coach the group toward more strategic goals and efficient knowledge transfer. Your primary responsibilities: • Lead, plan, and follow up operations, including full personnel, budget (OPEX), and work environment responsibility • Focus on engaging, developing, and creating knowledge transfer within the team • Ensure all media and facility systems deliver according to applicable GXP requirements • Drive and initiate projects, especially in facility development and adaptations for new technical requirements • Responsible for tracking operational costs and budget • Define, implement, and continuously improve processes within the area of responsibility, such as preventive maintenance Qualifications We seek a confident, communicative, and responsible leader who leads with energy, structure, and clarity. Required qualifications: • Higher education in operations, media, facilities, or equivalent technical background • Minimum 3-5 years documented leadership experience with personnel and budget responsibility • Requirement of experience in Life Science industry and good GXP understanding • Solid work experience in both Facility Management and Utility systems • Excellent Swedish and English skills, verbal and written Location: Uppsala. Travel between Fresenius Kabi sites in Uppsala and Brunna may occur. Start date: According to agreement.
