We are now seeking an Administrative Lawyer for the City Planning Administration's staff in Vaxholm.

The City Planning Administration consists of six units: Building Permits, Planning and Exploitation, Technical Unit, Culture and Library, Major Projects, and the Staff unit. Approximately 60 people work in the City Planning Administration, with 12 in the staff team.
The staff works for and with other units within the administration to achieve our shared assignments and goals. We have expertise in geodata, GIS, mapping and measurement, legal matters, communication, business development, administration, ecological sustainability, and digitalization. About the Role
As an Administrative Lawyer, you are a central support for the entire City Planning Administration. You work broadly with legal issues in planning and building legislation, environmental and property law, municipal law, administrative law, and public access and confidentiality.
You provide legal advice, review and draft agreements, conduct legal investigations, and represent the administration during reviews.
You are also responsible for issues related to data protection (GDPR) and function as the administration's representative in the city's information security work.
Example Tasks:
- Legal support to the administration's units in planning, exploitation, building permits, property, and environment (primarily shoreline protection)
- Review and preparation of agreements, decisions, and governing documents
- Legal investigations and legal assessments
- Advice and training in administrative law, Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, and Planning and Building Act
- Data protection coordination and information security work in collaboration with the city's central functions
Your Profile:
- Law degree
- Several years of experience in qualified legal work, preferably from municipal operations
- Good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act and Administrative Procedure Act
- Experience or interest in contract-related issues in property law such as rental, land lease, and other usage rights
- Experience with data protection issues and information security is meritorious
- Clerk service and/or service at land and environmental court is meritorious
- Structured, communicative, and solution-oriented with good collaboration skills
Employment:
The position is full-time, located in the municipal house in Vaxholm. Possibility of remote work 1-2 days per week by agreement.
The employment is ongoing, with start date by agreement. Probationary employment may be applied.
As a permanent employee of Vaxholm City, you may be war-placed in the city.
