The Swedish Fortifications Agency is seeking a property manager based in Arboga. Are you an experienced property manager looking to work in a crucial role with defense properties? The Swedish Fortifications Agency owns, develops, and manages robust defense properties for peace, crisis, and war. With our unique expertise in defense properties, we create secure environments for a resilient total defense. Your role as a property manager to strengthen Sweden's defense capability Region Mitt is one of the six regions within the Property Management Department of the Swedish Fortifications Agency. We are approximately 115 people responsible for managing properties across eight counties in central Sweden. We are now looking for another property manager to oversee the management of our facilities portfolio. The position is based in Arboga, but our properties are spread across several counties. As a property manager, you will be part of an office with about ten employees in Arboga. Our mission is to develop and preserve the properties and facilities while ensuring customer satisfaction and that the facilities evolve according to set goals and plans. The property manager is responsible for developing and enhancing the property portfolio and for customer contacts within the management area. The role focuses on planning and follow-up and does not include personnel responsibility. However, the property manager acts as a client towards the technical unit during the implementation of maintenance measures and towards the operations district regarding operational services. As a property manager, you will also have full financial responsibility within the framework of management. Qualifications We are looking for someone with relevant education, including a completed high school diploma, preferably supplemented with higher education such as vocational or university studies focused on property and/or construction. Alternatively, you may have other education that the employer deems relevant. Experience in economic and technical management is also required, along with experience in budget and forecasting work. We also want you to have good knowledge of administrative IT support systems and possess strong verbal and written communication skills in Swedish. A valid driver's license (B) is required, as travel is part of the job. It is highly meritorious if you have several years of experience working with fortification facilities in a government agency within the defense family, and it is also advantageous if you have completed training in fortification. We are looking for someone with a strong security awareness, as the Swedish Fortifications Agency manages properties with high security requirements. The role requires you to be collaborative and work selflessly towards common goals. The position also requires you to work in a structured manner, maintain order and cleanliness, meet deadlines, and complete ongoing tasks.
