The Swedish Armed Forces' Intelligence and Security Centre is a hub for training and development within the national and international intelligence and security services of the Armed Forces. The centre is joint across the Armed Forces and was established in 1998 when the Air Force and Army intelligence schools, along with the Defence Language School, were merged at Uppsala Garrison.
**Specialist Officer Training**
You will receive a special officer training (SOFU). The training will begin within a month of your employment and will last a maximum of 12 months. The mandatory trainings for SOFU are:
- Command Course - mission training at MHS Halmstad, approximately 20 weeks.
In addition, necessary competence development/training will be required to meet the specific demands of the position. Adjustments to the training content may occur based on the individual's previous military training.

**Position**
We are looking for you who want to become a specialist officer with a focus on the area of Imagery Intelligence; the position will involve a role as a teacher in the subject.
**The Unit**
The Training Unit meets the Armed Forces' need for intelligence and security personnel through method and analysis training in intelligence and security services. The unit is organized into the Security Unit, Intelligence Unit, Security Department, and Imagery Intelligence Department (Bildundavd). The Security Unit is located in Halmstad, while the other departments are in Uppsala.
**Imagery Intelligence Department**
The current position is located at the Imagery Intelligence Department (BildUndavd), where the teaching team trains the Armed Forces' Imagery Interpreters. The training in the department includes recognition knowledge, image analysis, and intelligence photography. The department is in an expanding phase where additional teachers are being recruited to meet the Armed Forces' increasing need for imagery interpreters.
**Qualifications**
- Academic degree of at least 180 credits from a university or college, including a written thesis of at least 15 credits, or an equivalent degree or completed quality-assured and certified vocational training, where the regulations governing the education are the same regardless of civilian or military training.
- Military basic training and insight into what is expected of you in your upcoming role as a specialist officer.
- Adequate color vision.
- Good ability to communicate in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
- Acting in accordance with the Armed Forces' core values and code of conduct.
- Class B driver's license.
**Meritorious**
- Leadership experience from professional life or voluntary work.
- Education relevant to the Armed Forces.
**Personal Attributes**
You are a responsible person who seeks and drives your tasks, is dynamic, and supports where needed. The position requires both excellent stress resilience and collaboration skills. You have the ability to prioritize and are pedagogical. You are flexible and view the entire Armed Forces as your workplace in a future officer career.
