Who are we?
Ebersteinska Gymnasiet is a municipal upper secondary school with approximately 600 students and 60 staff members. We offer programs in economics, sales and service, natural sciences, social sciences, technology, health and social care, as well as introductory programs.
The school is organized into four units led by three principals. There are also nine working teams that, along with the school's management group, coordinate and drive school development forward.
We operate in modern and purpose-built facilities where engagement, quality, and progress characterize our daily work and our shared mission.
We are now looking for a lead teacher in mathematics!
Your responsibilities
As a lead teacher, you will teach mathematics and be responsible for leading the development work within the subject.
You will be part of a working team where we collaboratively create the best conditions for student success. In this role, you will work closely with qualified subject colleagues, the development group, and the school's management team.
As a lead teacher at Ebersteinska Gymnasiet, you will be part of the school's development group, which, together with the principal, drives the school's pedagogical development. You will lead and support collegial learning with a focus on long-term and sustainable school development for each student's success.
Together with the school management, development group, and team leaders, you will contribute to developing the pedagogical leadership at the school, supported by current research and proven experience. You will also participate in the municipality's network for lead teachers, where you will have the opportunity to influence and develop the municipality's educational activities.
In addition, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the development work within the mathematics subject with the goal of strengthening student outcomes.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who has a teaching license for upper secondary school with qualifications in mathematics and preferably also in economics or law. You have at least four years of well-regarded teaching experience after graduation and are skilled in your profession.
Through your previous experiences, you have led some form of development work and have a strong commitment to developing both students' and colleagues' learning. The role requires you to be a confident and stable leader with the ability to engage and motivate our students.
In your interactions with others, you are attentive and communicate clearly. You are reliable and build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
When collaborating, you actively contribute to a positive and open work climate. Your pedagogical skills are strong, and you understand that people absorb knowledge in different ways. You are flexible, have a positive attitude, and possess a drive that keeps you going even in the face of challenges.
The position also requires good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as a good level of IT proficiency.
