About this role
**About the Job**
Your task will be to design, manufacture, and characterize multilayers of organic semiconductors using the Langmuir-Schäfer method; determine defect density and defect energy in organic semiconductor films using experimental methods such as energy-resolved electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, photoelectron spectroscopy, Kelvin probe measurements, and current-voltage characterization of diodes.
**About You**
We are looking for a goal-oriented individual with a strong ability to collaborate in research projects.
We would like you to have:
• A PhD in Physics or Physical Chemistry.
• Documented extensive experience in conducting energy-resolved electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, photoelectron spectroscopy, Kelvin probe measurements, and current-voltage characterization of diodes.
• Documented experience in using the Langmuir-Schäfer method to fabricate multilayers of organic semiconductors.
• Documented experience in manufacturing electronic components based on organic semiconductors.
It is advantageous if you have:
• Experience performing experiments in a glove box.
**Your Workplace**
You will work at the Laboratory for Organic Electronics (LOE) at Linköping University, Department of Science and Technology, Campus Norrköping, Linköping University, within the unit for Surface Physics and Chemistry. At LOE, we explore the electronic and optical properties of organic materials and organic-inorganic hybrid systems. Of particular interest is the development of new components and system concepts for applications in energy, the Internet of Things, health, and biology. Our research encompasses synthesis, materials science, theory, and studies of electronic and photonic components and systems, ranging from fundamental research to the commercialization of research results. LOE currently includes over 160 researchers and is divided into nine research units as well as a technical support unit.
