We are pleased that you are interested in the position of preschool teacher at Storskiftet Preschool!
Storskiftet Preschool is located in Sunderbyn, about ten kilometers outside Luleå, close to beautiful natural areas. Currently, we have three of the preschool's four departments open, where children are in age-mixed groups.
At Storskiftet, children are in a stimulating learning environment where they are challenged according to their maturity and interests. The preschool aims to spark children's curiosity, imagination, play, and desire to learn through spontaneous teaching moments and planned activities. Children learn in various ways, and at Storskiftet, a diversity of materials and expressions is offered, such as creative arts, drama/movement, various learning tools, and aesthetic learning processes. We work thematically, allowing children to explore and investigate, and to be challenged in their learning. Children's thoughts and interests guide the theme further, providing them with opportunities for co-creation and influence.
Job Description
As a preschool teacher, you play a crucial role in children's development and well-being. You will have a multifaceted role and work closely with childcare workers and other staff at the preschool to create a safe, stimulating, and accessible education for the children. Your main responsibilities include:
• Ensuring that goal-oriented processes take place and, together with childcare workers, conducting teaching where children's participation and influence are central.
• Ensuring that teaching at the preschool is conducted in accordance with the goals of the curriculum.
• Planning, implementing, and developing teaching together with the work team and for the entire preschool.
• Ensuring that the preschool's learning environments offer variety where children can further develop their abilities in an accessible learning environment for care, play, movement, health, development, and learning.
You will work to create safe and trusting relationships with both children, colleagues, and guardians.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is an educated and licensed preschool teacher with the qualification to teach in preschool and has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have professional experience working in preschool as well as knowledge of any of our minority languages or another language. As a person, you need to be structured and able to plan, organize, and complete your work. To succeed in this role, you must have the ability to meet the needs of different children, create good relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues, and value collaboration while striving for shared success. Your creative ability to think outside the box when needed is also important.
