Rainbow Preschool is newly built and opened in 2025. The preschool is located in southern Kumla, close to forests and playgrounds.
The department operates year-round, 24/7, every day of the week. All educators work full-time according to a rotating 7-week schedule, which includes day, evening, night, weekend shifts, followed by a week off.
Currently, there are 7 educators working in Rainbow's night program. The night program consists of a preschool section for children aged 1-5 years and an after-school section for children aged 6-13 years who are at the preschool during evenings and weekends. Rainbow Preschool is a meeting place for joy, curiosity, and security. We offer a varied education that accommodates and builds on children's interests, differences, and learning. Time spent with us should be safe, fun, and educational for the children. In our interactions, we see differences as an asset. We aim to offer all children everything through a norm-creative approach. Conducting norm-creative education means striving to create a learning environment that allows children to develop into the unique individuals they are, where the norms at the preschool encompass all children and do not limit them.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In your role as a preschool teacher, you are responsible for ensuring that education is conducted in accordance with the curriculum goals. Together with your team, you create conditions for children's learning and development. Alongside children and colleagues, you design learning environments that inspire and encourage exploration and play, placing children at the center. Through your engagement, you foster curiosity and a desire to learn, both during planned activities and spontaneous moments. You shape the education with an exploratory approach where children's questions, thoughts, ideas, and imagination form the basis for learning processes. As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for documenting, following up, and evaluating the activities, and you also ensure that guardians have opportunities to participate and influence the operations. In the evenings and weekends, the work differs somewhat from the education provided during the daytime on weekdays. An important part is to create a safe and caring environment where children's needs for rest and recovery are considered in the planning of activities.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to children's learning and development. You have good knowledge of child development and learning, as well as the ability to apply this knowledge in daily work. It is important that you can think innovatively, are creative, and solution-focused. You keep children at the center of your work and are consciously present and engaged in your interactions with them. You are responsible and have an easy time building trust. You view collaboration as a natural part of your work and are eager to share your experiences and knowledge while being open to new working methods. Since it is essential to establish a trusting and close collaboration with colleagues, children, and guardians, you also need to have strong communication skills. You have a positive attitude and believe that collaboration and a holistic view are important for the development of both the children and the preschool. Personal suitability is of great importance.
You hold a degree in preschool education or a teaching degree for younger ages with preschool teacher qualifications.
