Education Gävle is responsible for preschool, primary school, secondary school, and adapted school. We work to ensure that all children and students are challenged and succeed in their education. With us, you will help develop the best possible conditions for learning. Together, we ensure that Gävle's children and students achieve their goals.
Masurgården is a preschool with three age-divided home bases. We have a large, wonderful yard that invites play and movement, where we have received help this autumn to plant a school garden with edible plants.
We collaborate across home bases in both education and teaching, and we have our own chef who is a natural part of the children's day. We consciously work to ensure that the educational environment is inspiring and accessible for the children, providing many different meeting places for rich language exchanges. Our prioritized goals for this operational year are language with a focus on reading aloud, and Science and Technology.
Masurgården has participated in the pilot project "Healthier Preschool" in collaboration with the Public Health Agency, through which we have developed our systematic hygiene work and actively work to reduce infections in the preschool. We have met the criteria and have been certified as a "Healthier Preschool" since 2024.
In the Bomhus preschool area, everyone should feel significant and important. We place great emphasis on ensuring that everyone who works in and visits our preschools receives a warm welcome. You should feel that you can become your best self. We want to support and encourage all children in our preschools so that they want to and dare to do as much as possible based on their own conditions, creating a sense of success. Children should receive the preschool they are entitled to, and through engaged staff who utilize each other's competencies and experiences, we can provide children with a good education during their time at our preschools.

Together with your colleagues in the work team, you will have primary responsibility for education at the preschool. Your work will include planning, implementation, documentation, follow-up, and evaluation of the activities according to established goals and guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has a degree from the preschool teacher program and a preschool teacher license with authorization to teach in preschool and preschool class, or is currently enrolled in the preschool teacher program with graduation in January 2026.
You need to:
• Be familiar with and knowledgeable about the preschool curriculum
• Have knowledge of and experience working with digital tools
• Have a good ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both verbally and in writing.
Experience with the following is preferred:
• Children in need of special support
• AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) and TAKK (Sign Language as Alternative and Augmentative Communication)
You find it easy to collaborate in a team-based environment where you build trust and create confidence within the group. You have the ability to spread calm and stability and maintain an unpretentious approach in your collaboration with children, colleagues, and guardians. You take initiative, are courageous, and can distinguish between issues and individuals. You have the ability to see what needs to be prioritized, are efficient, and use resources effectively to achieve the set goals.
