Lineheds Preschool is a Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool that was established in November 2019.
We are a practice preschool affiliated with Halmstad University.

What You Will Do
We are seeking three committed preschool teachers (two of the positions are permanent and one is a fixed-term contract for the spring semester with potential extension) who want to take responsibility and drive development with us. You are interested in working based on Reggio Emilia's values and human perspective.
Together, we focus on advancing the operation towards our pedagogical stance and vision, as a supplement to the Curriculum for Preschool, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the Education Act. As a preschool teacher, you will work with the team and the entire preschool to take responsibility for teaching and lead work with reflection, planning, follow-up, evaluation, and development. At the preschool, we all help each other. Pedagogista, Special Educator, and Principal are on-site to challenge, support, and inspire.
Inspired by thoughts from Reggio Emilia's preschools, our teaching is based on an exploratory and project-based approach. Our learning environments are flexible, and various ateliers are offered to children to express their thoughts and theories through many different languages, including aesthetic, linguistic, and bodily. We also place great emphasis on spoken language, as we have many multilingual children. Sustainable development is part of our pedagogical idea. We strive for each child to become their best self in every context the preschool offers.
The preschool has a joint project "The World Needs a New Story - Courage to Change, Diversity, and Compassion for a Sustainable Present and Future." This includes children and educators exploring and experiencing our entire city through walks, bicycle trips with our cargo bikes, and bus. This enables teaching in learning environments outside the preschool, as well as in nature and cultural experiences.
Who You Are
We are seeking a licensed preschool teacher.
You are interested in working and developing the preschool based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Our approach is inspired by the idea that children are competent and that development and learning occur in interactions. You should have a curious and reflective approach and the ability to meet each child according to their conditions. Capture children's curiosity and desire to learn by making the environment exciting and challenging. You want to drive work on sustainable development towards a sustainable future and work with recycling.
If you are passionate about working with drama, music, gymnastics and movement, drawing and painting, or other forms of expression, you will have rich opportunities to develop yourself and your teaching. You should be able to cycle with children in our cargo bikes to teach in different environments.
We want you to dare to try new working methods, be pedagogically driven, solution-oriented, and put children's needs and opportunities at the center. You help create security by being clear with a conscious approach.
You are experienced in pedagogical documentation in various forms and see systematic quality work as a matter of course. You should be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
You should be able to create good relationships with guardians and in the team, and work towards a positive work climate throughout the preschool.
You keep up with research and stay updated by taking part in literature and various pedagogical forums. You have a sense of humor and want to have fun at work.
If you are a newly graduated preschool teacher, you will be assigned a mentor upon employment.
