About this role
About the Workplace
Drottninghög is an exciting area that is being invested in and developed! We are a workplace with driven, curious educators who want to achieve great things. We have great diversity in our staff and see differences as a success factor. We consider it a matter of course that children and guardians should be engaged and involved. In our approach, inspired by the Reggio philosophy, we focus on learning environments, base our work on children's curiosity, and place great importance on active, co-investigating educators. We believe that developing together is a prerequisite for growth, and we invest heavily in our staff and shared skills development. We have proudly helped create educational materials for the Swedish National Agency for Education on the importance of learning environments. Job Responsibilities
As a preschool teacher with us, you are part of the team, driving pedagogical work forward and creating the best conditions for each child's learning and development. You consciously work with the entire Lpfö18/25 curriculum based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy, where democratic meeting places, project-based approaches, and aesthetic learning processes are always at the forefront. The preschool teacher's mission focuses on responsible leadership according to our guiding documents and critically examining one's own pedagogical leadership to achieve high-quality education and instruction. In your role, you contribute to each child's success. The assignment is based on a democratic approach where everyone is important, and we learn together - both children and educators. Being comfortable using pedagogical documentation is part of the role, as is the expectation of reflection with both children and colleagues. The relationship and interaction with guardians are incredibly important, diversity is an asset, and you always keep the children's best interests in focus. You who are applying know that being a preschool teacher is one of the world's best professions, and you are amazed by children's exploratory joy and creativity!
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with experience in educational work, a preschool teaching degree, and teaching certification for preschool. As a preschool teacher, you are curious and driven with great commitment to your work. Your motivation is to explore, investigate, and learn new things together with children. You stimulate and challenge each child's learning towards expanded knowledge. You create an everyday environment that is secure, meaningful, and enjoyable, focusing on each child's needs and interests. You see every child as competent and important and have an inner motivation to make a difference in each child's life.
You have the ability to take on the preschool teacher's mission with a focus on responsible leadership according to our guiding documents and the ability to critically examine your own pedagogical leadership to achieve high-quality education and instruction. For you, pedagogical documentation is an important tool to make visible and reflect on approaches and learning processes together with colleagues and children. Together with your colleagues, you systematically follow up, reflect, and plan further learning processes. You make conscious choices regarding various learning tools, both in pedagogical documentation, in the environment, and in processes with children. It is important for you to know your "why," and dialogues about pedagogical positions are a matter of course - both in the work team and in collegial conversations.
As a person, we think you are a true enabler with the ability and will to think outside the box. You are curious in encounters with others - both colleagues, children, and guardians. You enjoy contexts where you can laugh, have your thoughts challenged, and have the opportunity to be creative and try new things together with colleagues and children. And you're happy to share yourself! You see differences as a success factor, cooperation as a matter of course, are curious about others' thoughts, and have an intercultural approach.
To work with us, it is a prerequisite that you have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Do you want to contribute to creating a preschool that is children's arena, a democratic meeting place where children are the main characters in their own learning? Do you want to make a difference? Then we look forward to your application!
