Job Description
We are seeking a preschool teacher who wants to be a part of Broskolan's adapted primary school and after-school program with a focus on subject areas. Do you want to work in the important role of a preschool teacher in an adapted primary school? We are located in our own premises at Broskolan with eight classes in grades 1–6, but we belong to Ängslättskolan. At Broskolan, we work with equitable education and an adapted learning environment. The work is characterized by clear pedagogical practices, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and a low-arousal approach. With good knowledge and experience, you will work with our students with intellectual disabilities, neuropsychiatric disorders, and language vulnerability. You will adapt the teaching based on the curriculum and governing documents, so that together we create a safe environment in both school and after-school care.
As a preschool teacher, you will work in a team consisting of engaged and knowledgeable colleagues who look forward to your participation in planning and executing the educational work with the students. You will plan, implement, and evaluate the teaching and collaborate with your colleagues during the school day. You will tailor the instruction based on each student's needs. In the afternoon, you will work in the after-school program where, in collaboration with colleagues, you will be responsible for the teaching and have a coordinating role. Together with your colleagues, you will plan the activities to create the best conditions for the students during their entire free time. Your responsibilities will also include care and self-care.
Qualifications
You who are applying are a licensed preschool teacher. Previous experience working as a preschool teacher in an adapted primary school is an advantage. You possess good didactic and pedagogical skills and can lead and organize your work to create a good learning environment for the students. Based on scientific principles and proven experience, you will contribute to the development of the operations. You also have good familiarity with relevant digital tools.
Of course, you have a professional attitude, are flexible, and work towards building good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school. For the position at Broskolan, you should have high competence in creating an accessible learning environment for students with intellectual disabilities, neuropsychiatric disorders, and language vulnerability. Experience and knowledge in AAC is an advantage. You have a strong ability to independently organize and structure your work. You take initiative, are engaged, and interested in students' learning and development. As a preschool teacher, you are confident in yourself, focused on development, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment characterized by collaboration. You have excellent proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Personal suitability is of great importance.
Welcome with your application!
