Job Description: Preschool Teacher at Stugan Preschool
We are seeking a qualified licensed preschool teacher with an active interest in outdoor life and nature. You are encouraged to take personal responsibility and show great commitment to the operation, participating in its development both big and small together with other staff. Experience and/or education in outdoor pedagogy is naturally a merit but not a requirement, as there are good opportunities for training. We are all different in our work group, but we value warmth and job satisfaction as a source of creativity in our work.
Job Responsibilities:
As a pedagogue at Stugan, you will have the opportunity to work in a preschool that prioritizes high staff-to-child ratio and small groups. All pedagogues work closely together and actively participate in planning and development of the operation. As members of Friluftsfrämjandet, outdoor life, environmental awareness, and outdoor activities are an important part of our approach - a perspective greatly appreciated by staff, children, and parents. Outdoor cooking may be part of the position. For those interested in cooking, there are opportunities for personal creativity and planning.
Workplace:
Stugan's private preschool is located in spacious facilities with an enclosed yard in the beautiful nature of Tosterö in Strängnäs. Our indoor and outdoor environments stimulate imaginative play, development, and learning. We have the great advantage of having forest, meadow, and water right at our doorstep. Stugan Preschool was founded on August 1, 1994.
We conduct a large part of our pedagogical activities outdoors. Many meals are also eaten outside. We want to teach children that everyone can and should contribute to the positive development of our nature and environment. We work according to Friluftsfrämjandet's norms and are a certified Skogsmulle preschool. Our foundation is to have well-educated and competent staff, with everyone having the opportunity to receive training in outdoor pedagogy. We strive to ensure that all children, parents, and staff enjoy a safe and pleasant environment and have fun together!
Additional Terms:
We are seeking employment from February 2026 but are flexible regarding the start date. If you have a notice period, this is not an obstacle. Employment percentage can be discussed between 75-100%. Pedagogues regularly attend courses and training based on interest and needs.
Additional Information:
We will review applications on an ongoing basis, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
