Rosendal Preschool is located in the eastern part of the city, near the university and Norrland University Hospital. The preschool opened in 2019 with six departments spread over two floors. Adjacent to the preschool's outdoor environment, there is also a park for play and exploration, as well as for peace and quiet. Rosendal Preschool is one of Umeå Municipality's training preschools, which means that during the academic year, we host teacher students for their practical training (VFU). Employment Information The position is a full-time temporary contract, scheduled to start on January 5, 2026, and end on December 31, 2026. Your Responsibilities As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for leading the teaching based on the curriculum. This includes planning, implementation, evaluation, analysis, and development of the teaching. You will be part of a team, so it is important to be able to collaborate and lead colleagues with different professional roles in the educational work. Based on the curriculum, you will work with children in groups while ensuring that each child receives challenges and support according to their needs. As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for documenting children's development and learning. You will have daily communication with guardians about how the children have been during the day, as well as their development and any challenges. About You As a person, you are engaged, flexible, positive, and solution-focused. You can lead colleagues and drive development work. In your role, you guide children and child groups, spark curiosity, and easily create relationships and collaborate with children, guardians, and colleagues. Personal suitability is highly valued. Requirements - Preschool teacher certification/has applied for certification - Experience as a preschool teacher - Experience in leading and distributing work within a team - Valid extract from the criminal record - Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written We warmly welcome your application!
