Lidingö City has 19 municipal preschools. They differ in pedagogical approach, composition of child and staff groups, facility design, and work plans. What unites them is the mission of laying the foundation for lifelong learning, based on the Education Act and preschool curriculum.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a preschool substitute at one of our preschools, you will work alongside and under the guidance of regular educators. You will participate in the activities/instruction conducted during your time at the preschool and be engaged in children's play and learning, contributing to a meaningful and significant everyday experience for all children.
As a substitute, you are expected to be flexible and able to step in where needed with varying tasks and sometimes on short notice. You will help lay the groundwork for lifelong learning through children's influence, participation, and enthusiasm for learning.
QUALIFICATIONS
Since you may be placed at different preschools where we are constantly developing, you must be flexible and adaptable to various situations. Previous experience working with children and/or in preschool settings is advantageous for the position. The job requires good ability to express yourself well verbally and in writing in Swedish.
As a preschool substitute at our preschools, you are expected to have a good approach and attitude towards children and colleagues. You should be relationship-oriented and focus primarily on children and their individual needs. A playful mindset is welcome to create playful situations with children and inspire with new ideas. The city applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement.
According to the Education Act, you must present an extract from the police criminal record before employment in preschool, school, and other work with children. You can request this extract on the police website.
