Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan) makes 21 million decisions that impact people's lives and society as a whole. We disburse approximately 260 billion kronor annually. We are responsible for everyone’s tax money, which is a significant responsibility. Therefore, we thoroughly examine each case, adhere to laws and regulations, provide information and guidance, care, and show compassion. This is a job for those who want to take responsibility. Welcome to Försäkringskassan.
We are currently seeking new employees for our unit in Örebro. We are looking for individuals who are truly passionate about coaching people back to self-sufficiency.
Solution-focused, coaching, and collaboration
In the role of insurance investigator with a focus on support for return to work, you will meet individuals who often have complex life situations with an ongoing sick leave. These individuals may be relatively far from returning to work or other forms of employment and therefore require support from Försäkringskassan and other stakeholders to get back to work.
You will take the initiative to coordinate the rehabilitation needs identified and match these needs with the appropriate interventions. In your work, you will involve the individual in the process. You will communicate and plan with external partners such as the individual's employer, healthcare providers, or the Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen). You will primarily work with digital meetings that you lead, but in-person meetings may also occur as needed.
As an insurance investigator, you will handle applications for sickness benefits. You will independently make decisions regarding the right to sickness benefits by correctly applying legislation, which also means you need to consider changing circumstances in the cases. You will also be responsible for ongoing documentation and disbursement of compensation.
The role of an insurance investigator is coaching in nature, and your interactions will be characterized by attentiveness, respect, and a desire to create security and understanding of the sickness insurance system for both the individual and partners. You will collaborate with your colleagues both on-site and digitally. You will actively work to develop your knowledge and share experiences and competencies.
As a new employee, you will receive introductory training and support from a mentor. The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, as a prospective employee, have a strong sense of security awareness.
