About this role

Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan) makes 21 million decisions that impact people's lives and society as a whole. We disburse approximately 260 billion kronor annually. It is public tax money that we manage, which is a significant responsibility. Therefore, we thoroughly engage in each case, adhere to laws and regulations, inform and guide, care, and show compassion. This is a job for those who want to take responsibility. Welcome to Försäkringskassan. The Refunds department is a dynamic area of operations that is constantly evolving and has locations across the country. We are now seeking insurance case officers for our unit in Uppsala. You want to contribute in an area characterized by collaboration, accountability, and a focus on solutions. Case Management, Teamwork, and Customer Contact As an insurance case officer, you have an important mission. You need to have a strong ability to communicate and interact with people, enabling citizens to feel secure in their contact with Försäkringskassan. We are looking for someone who understands that each individual has a unique situation and needs to be met based on their specific needs. When working with refunds, you will encounter individuals who may have received compensation from Försäkringskassan on incorrect grounds, either knowingly or unknowingly, and may therefore be liable for repayment. This means you will communicate decisions about refunds to individuals who may be in a financially difficult situation. You are responsible for explaining the decision in a simple, clear, and structured manner so that it is easy to understand. The role involves independently investigating, assessing, and deciding whether the incorrectly paid amount should be repaid and if there are grounds for waiver. You will negotiate repayment plans and take actions to recover the incorrectly disbursed amount. To succeed in this role, you need to collaborate towards common goals, make sound judgments, and be flexible and solution-oriented. In your work, you may also have contact with external parties such as employers and other authorities. You will communicate via phone and in writing. Therefore, it is important that you are confident in communicating in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is essential that you have a strong sense of security awareness. This is a job for those who want to take responsibility. We are looking for someone who: • Has a high school diploma or equivalent experience and qualifications • Is service-oriented and has a systematic and meticulous work approach • Is stable and can maintain energy even in stressful situations • Collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals • Has good communication skills, both verbally and in writing • Quickly identifies problems and resolves them appropriately • Works independently, takes initiative, and assumes responsibility • Has a good ability to use a computer as a work tool. It is an advantage if you: • Have experience in case management and have made decisions that affect individuals, preferably in a government agency • Have experience working in a production-driven environment • Have good knowledge of how to professionally engage with people in various life situations • Have experience in handling incoming phone calls. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. Additional Information Several positions are available, permanent, full-time, with start dates as agreed. A probationary period may apply.
