Sollefteå Parish Seeks a Supervisor
Our core activities include conducting worship services, providing education, diaconal work, and mission.
The parish manages church buildings and other facilities and is responsible for burial services across twelve congregations.
You will supervise and schedule one of three caretaker teams within Sollefteå Parish. Your team consists of three permanent church caretakers, a cemetery worker with extensive experience and expertise, and several seasonal cemetery workers during the summer months.
You will lead and instruct your team in daily maintenance, operations, and upkeep of cemeteries, churches, and properties, as well as service during worship and church events. While you will partially participate in practical work, you need strong administrative skills and proficiency with digital tools. Your leadership role also includes conducting development and salary discussions.
You will report directly to the Cemetery Manager but will also work closely with the Facilities Manager. Together, you will ensure that cemeteries, park areas, and buildings are maintained in an orderly and dignified condition. As colleagues and sounding boards, you will collaborate with two other supervisors, their respective teams, and all administrative and congregational staff.
As a person, you are a clear and communicative leader. This is a service-oriented role supporting visitors and members, and you will become an important external representative of Sollefteå Parish. Membership in the Church of Sweden is a formal requirement.
We prefer candidates with:
Documented leadership experience, preferably in a similar field. Computer proficiency, at least a B driver's license, and access to a personal vehicle are required. We value competence in property maintenance and knowledge of landscaping and gardening.
