Job Responsibilities
Bia Supported Housing serves individuals aged 16-21 who need housing with adult support during a period in their lives.
Supported housing is a form where residents live in their own apartment and primarily interact with staff during scheduled meetings. We accept placements from across Gothenburg City. Our mission is to provide youth with the right support to become confident, independent adults when they leave us. We have approximately 40 apartments, with half located in a property in Gamlestaden, which also houses the staff office from which all personnel operate.
We are now seeking a Manager for our team consisting of fourteen employees and a Unit Manager. The Unit Manager holds responsibility for work environment, personnel, and overall operational management.
As Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the core mission of the operation. You will focus specifically on suitability assessments during move-ins and planning for move-ins and move-outs, as well as supporting staff with client-related issues. You will manage short-term staffing and assist with administrative tasks such as occupancy statistics and establishing and revising procedures. As Manager, you will have significant opportunities to influence work methods and content alongside the Unit Manager and other employees.
You will also be responsible for the operation's quality work and content in relation to our supervisory authority, IVO. You will collaborate closely with our contracting authorities in administrative units and other important actors involved with the placed young adults. There is collaboration between the City's other Residential Care Homes and Supported Housing, as well as within housing operations in the administration.
This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday.
Qualifications
We seek candidates with a social work degree or other higher education that the employer deems equivalent. The education must meet IVO's requirements for Residential Care Home Managers. You should be well-versed in legislation regarding social services interventions. You need knowledge and previous work experience with children and youth in service operations. A Class B driver's license is required. Experience as a manager or other leadership position in Residential Care Homes is considered meritorious.
You are clear, able to gain support for thoughts and ideas, and can influence decisions in a certain direction. You can contribute enthusiasm and energy through compelling arguments that encourage good performance, team spirit, and increased motivation.
You plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently. You ensure work is completed on time and follow up on results.
You work well with others by listening, showing interest and respect. You understand the shared mission and work to make it as good as possible.
