The Preventive Children 1 unit is now seeking a preventive social worker who wants to work with violence prevention and parental support in the municipality's schools and open preschools. As a social worker, you will work to strengthen protective factors, identify risks early, and create safe growing conditions for children and families. You will primarily operate in the Hallunda area, where the assignment involves close collaboration with schools and family centers, as well as building relationships and networks in the local community. The work is carried out in close cooperation with school staff, guardians, and local actors. You will participate in meetings, follow up on activities, and coordinate new initiatives as needs arise. The role also includes recognizing signals that a child may need support and appropriately communicating this forward. Your main responsibilities will include: • Implementing and developing the violence prevention school program "Tåget" together with school staff • Planning and leading parental support programs such as ABC (All Children in Focus), Komet, and Parenting in Sweden (FÖS) • Conducting presentations, workshops, and training for school staff and parents • Identifying the need for early interventions and contributing to ensuring that the right support is provided in a timely manner • Collaborating with schools, family centers, associations, and faith communities in preventive work • Participating in the development of the municipality's operational violence prevention and methods for early detection. Through your work, you will become an important part of the municipality's early and preventive efforts, where the goal is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to grow up in a safe environment free from violence, crime, and exclusion. The work will take place both during the day and, if necessary, in the evenings, as some parent groups and school activities occur after regular working hours. We Offer You The Preventive Unit consists of several professional roles working together to enhance safety for children and youth in Botkyrka. Within the unit, four preventive social workers are engaged in the preventive mission, closely collaborating with parental support coordinators, counselors, and staff at open preschools who contribute to the overall effort. You will be part of a team that maintains regular contact with schools, recreational activities, and external actors to promptly identify and support children and families. The work combines independent responsibility with close collaboration, and you will have the support of colleagues, coordinators, and supervisors who are available for dialogue and guidance as needed. You will receive supervision, professional development, and the opportunity to influence how we shape our preventive initiatives. Through collective learning and present leadership, you will deepen your methodological competence, develop your collaborative skills, and grow in your role as a confident and independent professional. When the operations allow, we also offer the possibility of flexible working hours and some remote work.
