Our client is an adult woman with an intellectual disability, epilepsy, and autistic traits. She lives with her parents and family dogs in a house in Lilla Edet. She has her own part of the house.
The work involves assisting and supporting all ADL and common daily chores such as cleaning, laundry, cooking as part of daily activity, as well as singing, crafting, and doing puzzles.
Assistant's Role and Experience
You need to have patience and be flexible to communicate in the best way. We use visual support in daily life and a low-affective approach as a working method. You need to be able to guide and motivate when necessary, while understanding when it is appropriate to take a step back. You can work closely with the client who may want to sit close or hug for a while, while an outwardly aggressive behavior may be present in her autistic traits. But as mentioned before, our client feels most comfortable with women, so we are only seeking a woman with good life experience.
We place great importance on personal suitability and that there is a "click" between you and the client. The team around the client is important. Since the family has dogs, you cannot be allergic or afraid of dogs.
A driver's license is required. You need to be able to swim and bathe in public environments.
You need to be flexible regarding working hours since we in the work group solve staffing if someone becomes sick or is on vacation - we support our client and each other.
Meritorious Experiences
• Experience with autism is meritorious.
• Swedish in speech and writing is required.
• Driver's license is required.
• Swimming ability is required.
• No fur animal allergies.
Working Hours/Employment Degree
• Work is done around the clock (actively).
• Part-time 30h/week, temporary position.
• Work shifts of 12h.
• Start immediately or as agreed.
