Description The Field Secretary's mission is to work preventively, outreaching, and relationship-building to improve the growing conditions of youth in Värnamo municipality. The goal is to reduce the number of young people affected by social problems, increased mental health issues, and prevent and promote avoiding risky environments. The field operation is also tasked with identifying tendencies and trends regarding youth situations throughout Värnamo municipality. The primary target group for the operation is youth between 12-18 years old. Work Tasks The position involves being present in environments where young people are, such as schools and during their leisure time, to get to know as many young people as possible in a natural way. This is to get an understanding of the situation of children and youth in general and to identify individuals who may need help and support. This means work hours will be during day, evening, and weekend. Field Secretaries should be a positive force among children and youth. You are expected to be able to communicate and act on-site, as well as conduct structured conversations individually and in groups. In the work, you will also have contact with guardians in various contexts. You will also be part of the municipality's Early and Coordinated Interventions (TSI) work. Part of the Field Secretary's job involves collaboration with different parts of the municipal operations, associations, and various types of authorities. The operation is based at the Trygghetscenter in Värnamo. Qualifications You need to have a social work degree or higher education that the employer deems equivalent. Previous experience with similar tasks is meritorious. For us, respect, participation, and cooperation are key words. As a person, you are stable and contribute to a positive work climate. We are looking for someone who easily talks and connects with youth. As a person, you have empathetic ability and are confident. Furthermore, you need to be responsible, structured, and flexible since work conditions can change on short notice. You have good collaboration skills and can work both independently and in a group. You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. Great importance will be placed on personal characteristics.
