About this role

The Support Housing Unit works towards targeted groups at both individual and group levels. The goal is to release and develop the individual and group resources through preventive measures, advice, and support initiatives. The field operations are part of the Support Housing Unit. Job Responsibilities As a field worker, you are part of the social services where you work with the target group of young people aged 13-20 through outreach, preventive, and promotional activities. The work primarily takes place in the field - at schools, youth centers, and other locations where young people gather, both during the day and in the evenings. The responsibilities also include conducting mediation activities. The work is largely performed in collaboration internally within IFO as well as with other stakeholders such as schools, youth centers, and the police. The work occurs at the individual, group, and structural levels. This means that the outreach work is complemented by, for example, giving lectures to groups, conducting training sessions, participating in meetings, and leading or participating in various collaboration forums. By working broadly and outreach across the entire youth group, field workers can identify the general needs to improve young people's living conditions. Additionally, they meet young people who are at risk of developing unfavorable situations and can identify the specific needs of these individuals. One goal of the fieldwork is to prevent young people from developing social issues and to engage with those who are already showing signs of such development to provide support and referrals. It is important to build meaningful relationships with the young people encountered, where all contact is voluntary. Working hours are scheduled for both daytime and evening shifts, including weekend work. Qualifications We are looking for candidates with a degree in social work or another behavioral science higher education deemed sufficient by the employer. Experience working with young people and fieldwork is an advantage. We also prefer candidates with experience in social services. As a person, we see that you actively take initiative in social contexts; stepping forward and daring to build social relationships should come naturally to you. You should be a trustworthy adult who works within the framework of social services' responsibilities and can identify children and young people who are in risk zones. Great emphasis is placed on collaboration skills and personal suitability. A valid driver's license with at least a B category is required. A background check must be presented prior to employment. Please attach your CV and cover letter with your application. http://inspiration.ornskoldsvik.se/ The welfare administration employs approximately 2,500 staff members.
