About this role
Welcome to one of Värmland's largest hotel and conference facilities. This family-owned hotel with 163 rooms is located in Karlstad, 3 kilometers north of the city center, nestled among residential areas, rivers, lakes, forests, and the E18 highway. Stories have been created here since the 1970s, which is reflected in our atmosphere and offerings. Personal service is always our focus, day and night. We offer stay packages that include accommodation, meals, conferences, events, sports, and culture. Our guests enjoy free parking and access to electric charging stations. During the summer, the hotel transforms into a summer oasis for families with a heated outdoor pool and pool bar. We provide large and small conference rooms, with the largest accommodating up to 400 people. In total, we have 9 conference rooms.
For breakfast, we are looking for early risers who want to deliver the best breakfast in town. Breakfast is an important part of our hotel experience—who doesn’t love a hotel breakfast?
We are currently seeking part-time staff, with employment on an as-needed basis for individual days. We use the scheduling app Caspeco Cloud, where you can apply for shifts that suit you. Standard working hours are from 05:00 on weekdays and 06:00 on weekends, but may vary depending on hotel bookings.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Preparation of the breakfast buffet
• Preparation of conference snacks
• Working according to routine lists
• Adhering to HACCP guidelines
• A small amount of cashier work, as we also serve breakfast guests who are not staying at the hotel
• Cleaning and sanitizing the buffet, work surfaces, and dishes
It is important to us that you already have, or can demonstrate, good knowledge of food handling and hygiene. Breakfast hours are weekdays from 06:00 to 09:30 and weekends from 06:00 to 10:30. Those who open breakfast start an hour earlier to prepare and set up the buffet.
During weekdays, we host many conferences, and it is the breakfast staff who produce and set up the morning snacks for these conferences. The role also includes cashier duties, dish collection and washing, maintaining buffet areas, and cleaning the kitchen and refrigerators.
