ABOUT US
City Mission's Second Hand is part of Gothenburg City Mission and operates as a social enterprise.
Here, you help create the most important thing for people without their own means of support – the opportunity to enter the job market. Promoting inclusive work integration is our core mission, and in all our stores, we offer work-related services through job training, internships, and customized employment.
At the same time, we inspire more people towards circular consumption, and through the donations we receive, we can offer a wide range of clothing and items. Thanks to our Second Hand operation, we can also provide clothing to people experiencing homelessness and poverty according to their needs. There are no profit withdrawals within City Mission's Second Hand. Any potential surplus remains within the organization to do more for more people.
The 1200 sqm Second Hand store is located in Alingsås across from McDonald's and is open Monday - Saturday. We have a large furniture, porcelain, and media department, as well as an extensive clothing section. We have a lovely café in the store, offering affordable coffee with home-baked goods from our restaurant Svinn located in Gothenburg.

ABOUT THE POSITION
As a store assistant, you'll be part of the daily store operations with tasks including customer service, cash register duties, restocking, and sorting donations.
As a store assistant, you're expected to collaborate with unit managers, supervisors, colleagues, and individuals in job training.
WHO ARE YOU?
You love second-hand shopping and the smart approach to reusing and recycling. We prefer candidates with previous retail experience.
You are flexible and can step in on short notice.
We're looking for someone with an interest in people, their differences, and other cultures. You have a positive attitude, and collaboration comes naturally to you.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
We are seeking staff who can work both weekdays and Saturdays as needed.
The position is an hourly employment based on needs. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline of 12/1, so don't wait to submit your application.
