JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Traffic Engineer, you will work to ensure Mark Municipality has a safe and good traffic environment during road planning, construction, and maintenance. You will be responsible for traffic-related administrative duties, including reviewing traffic management plans, handling parking, vehicle relocation, permits and dispensations, and developing local traffic regulations. You will also update routines within your work area.
You will participate in early stages of street projects, engage in dialogue with consultants and project managers, and contribute to detailed plans focusing on traffic issues. You will follow industry developments, participate in development work, and handle correspondence from the public and politicians. You will present cases to the committee and collaborate closely with street and park operations and other engineers within street and park activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a university degree in urban planning, traffic, law, or another relevant education, or alternatively, a vocational college education in traffic technology or another education combined with documented work experience.
Several years of experience working with traffic issues, either from municipal or state administrative work involving traffic planning, traffic management plans, building permit review, or similar, or from practical work in a leading role in road construction, such as site manager, construction manager, or project manager.
You should communicate well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and have good computer skills.
A valid driving license (B-license) is required.
It is meritorious if you have experience working with Swedish traffic legislation, AMA Construction, MER, and procurement according to LOU. Additionally, experience with GIS, CAD, or other relevant traffic planning tools, and experience with detailed planning processes focusing on traffic issues and knowledge of sustainable mobility and future traffic solutions.
