Are you our new colleague? The Child and Youth Care Investigation Unit is seeking an experienced social worker who wants to contribute with security, competence, and mentorship.
Here, you'll have the opportunity to develop in an organization characterized by professionalism, collaboration, and strong social commitment. We are currently implementing a comprehensive Signs of Safety implementation and preparing for the Future Social Services – where we build on what works and develop what is missing.
Within child and youth care authority work in Sandviken, we have created a new management structure to enable closer and more sustainable leadership with four engaged and experienced unit managers – each responsible for the reception unit, investigation unit, placement unit, and foster family and family law unit.

The unit currently applies one hour of reflection time per day for case workers and specialist social workers.
WORK TASKS
The Investigation Unit is responsible for authority work regarding children, youth, and their families. Our main task is to investigate and approve interventions for children and young people aged 0-20 and to follow up open care interventions.
In daily work, you'll receive support from specialist social workers and unit managers in both case management and decision-making. Collaboration is a core value for us; we work closely with other units and external actors to create holistic solutions for children and families.
In the role, you'll also have the opportunity to be a mentor and support for less experienced colleagues – sharing your perspectives, being a sounding board, and contributing to a culture where learning and quality go hand in hand. Additional special assignments may also arise, based on the unit's needs and your personal competence.

QUALIFICATIONS
We're seeking someone with a social work degree and several years of experience in child and youth authority work. You are confident in the case management process, are well-versed in BBIC, and have a genuine commitment to children in vulnerable situations. Since Signs of Safety is a significant part of our work, we hope you have experience and a positive attitude toward involving children's and young people's networks.
We're looking for someone who is secure, stable, and reflective in their professional role. You handle the entire case management process, including LVU, and are confident in your assessments of children's and young people's needs. Here, it's important that you have good analytical skills and can make decisions with both heart and professional judgment. We also place great importance on being unpretentious in collaboration with others and wanting to help less experienced colleagues learn the craft of child case management. It's important that you are comfortable collaborating, supporting, and inspiring others in the team and sharing your knowledge and competence. We also place great emphasis on your personal suitability, particularly your security, maturity, and ability to contribute to an open, permissive, and learning work climate.
To work with us, you must also have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. A B driver's license is required.
