Responsibilities
Your role as an experienced project manager in traffic systems
In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with large and complex procurement contracts, where you will lead the work from planning to execution and follow-up. You will manage multiple stakeholders and teams simultaneously, ensuring that projects are delivered on schedule. You will represent the Swedish Transport Administration in dealings with contractors, suppliers, and other authorities. A typical project consists of approximately 20 people in roles such as sub-project managers, site managers, and specialists. The projects encompass both operations and maintenance as well as larger reinvestments and improvements in areas such as:
• Traffic systems such as motor control systems (MCS), traffic measurement, traffic signals, and traffic information.
• Technical solutions within complex facilities like tunnels and movable bridges.
• Development and upgrades of traffic systems.
In your daily work, you will:
• Drive and coordinate - Manage multiple procurement contracts simultaneously and ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Lead and collaborate - Work closely with specialists, consultants, and contractors to create successful partnerships.
• Ensure quality and results - Monitor costs, schedules, and requirements to optimize both project execution and long-term functionality.
• Develop and improve - Identify opportunities for enhancements and implement solutions that strengthen safety and efficiency.

The position is based in Solna. Do you want a flexible workday with the opportunity to work from home? In this role, you can work remotely up to two days a week.

We believe you are a driven and analytical project manager with prior experience leading complex projects. Your leadership is characterized by building trust, driving projects independently, and delivering results. You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to convey messages simply, be receptive, and adapt your communication to your audience. You work systematically, are proactive, and have a clear focus on quality, and your analytical skills enable you to quickly grasp complex contexts.
To succeed in this role, you need to have:
• A university degree or higher education of at least 180 credits/120 points with a technical focus, but you may also have a different educational background supplemented with relevant experience in project management and/or industry experience that the Swedish Transport Administration deems equivalent.
• Several years of current and relevant experience in procurement operations as a client, consultant, or contractor.
• Solid multi-year current and relevant experience as a project manager or in equivalent leading roles within the construction and civil engineering industry.
• A valid driver's license for passenger cars.
• Proficient knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good command of English, both spoken and written.
It is advantageous if you have experience working with:
• Traffic systems such as motor control systems (MCS), traffic measurement, and traffic information.
• Procurements and contracts according to LOU and AB/ABT.
• Estimation, forecasting, and cost monitoring.
• Negotiation and contract management.
• Various project management models.
