Your Role as an Experienced Project Manager in Telecommunication Systems
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with large and complex contracts, leading the work from planning to execution and follow-up. You will manage many stakeholders and teams simultaneously, ensuring that projects are delivered on schedule. You will represent the Swedish Transport Administration towards contractors, suppliers, and other authorities. A typical project consists of approximately 20 people in roles such as sub-project managers, site managers, and specialists. The projects involve both operations and maintenance, as well as larger reinvestments and improvements in areas such as:
• Security Systems - Cameras, locking and access systems, PA systems for tunnels, and monitoring servers.
• Technical Solutions - IT systems for traffic monitoring and control.
• Infrastructure upgrades such as modernization of monitoring systems.
In your daily work, you will:
• Drive and coordinate - Manage multiple contracts simultaneously and ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Lead and collaborate - Work closely with specialists, consultants, and contractors to create successful partnerships.
• Ensure quality and results - Monitor costs, timelines, and requirements to optimize both project execution and long-term functionality.
• Develop and improve - Identify opportunities for enhancements and implement solutions that strengthen safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

We believe you are a driven and analytical project manager with previous experience in leading complex projects. Your leadership is characterized by building trust, driving projects independently, and delivering results. You have strong communication skills, which means you convey messages clearly, are attentive, and adapt your communication to your audience. You work systematically, are proactive, and have a clear focus on quality. Your analytical skills allow you to quickly understand complex contexts.
To succeed in this role, you need to have:
• A university or higher education of at least 180 credits/120 ECTS with a technical focus, though you may also have a different educational background supplemented by relevant management experience and/or industry experience considered equivalent by the Swedish Transport Administration.
• Solid, several years of relevant experience as a project manager or from similar leading roles in the construction and civil engineering sector.
• Several years of current and relevant experience in contracting as a client, consultant, or contractor.
• A valid driver's license for passenger cars.
• Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
It is advantageous if you also have experience working with:
• Systems such as CCTV and access systems within infrastructure, construction, or property.
• Procurement and contracts according to the Public Procurement Act (LOU) and AB/ABT.
• Cost estimation, forecasting, and cost follow-up.
• Negotiation and contract management.
• Various project management methodologies.
