The PLANNING UNIT is organized under the Department of Community Building and is responsible for conducting comprehensive planning, traffic planning, establishing detailed plans, and area regulations. Work in Ekerö Municipality.
Job Description
Ekerö Municipality is in an exciting phase of development! We are growing and have many interesting projects underway. When the Bypass is completed, Ekerö will be even more closely connected to Stockholm – creating new opportunities for both residents and businesses. Ekerö is characterized by its unique environments, where historical cultural values meet nature, the archipelago, and modern communities. Here, you will work on a variety of projects – from urban development and villa densification to sustainable rural development.
We are now looking for a senior planner who wants to be a key person in the physical development of Ekerö Municipality. As an experienced planner, you will be responsible for your own projects and detailed plans while coordinating the municipality's developer-driven detailed plans.
You will lead planning processes from idea to adoption, drive the work forward, and balance various interests to achieve well-considered overall solutions. The work is based on politically decided goals. In the municipality-driven detailed plans, you will lead working groups consisting of developers and their consultants, development engineers, project managers, strategists, and traffic planners. In the developer-driven detailed plans, you will be responsible for the detailed plan and its trade-offs. The developer's project manager will report to you.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Driving and project managing detailed planning processes
• Being responsible for the budget and timeline of detailed planning projects
• Ordering and coordinating investigations
• Developing planning proposals at all stages
• Participating in strategic issues and early stages of the municipality's development
With us, you will find a workplace where ideas become reality, where you have the space to grow, and where your expertise truly makes a difference. We offer a creative environment, short decision-making paths, and a team of colleagues who enjoy working together.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
• At least a bachelor's degree in physical planning, architecture, landscape architecture, or equivalent
• Extensive experience working with detailed plans in municipal or consulting activities
• Good knowledge of relevant legislation, planning processes, and sustainable community development
• Experience in project management and coordination
• Strong ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• A valid B driver's license
It is an advantage if you have experience with AutoCAD, Focus Detailed Plan, Plandirekt, and the Adobe suite. You have a holistic view and the ability to see how different parts are interconnected, both within the organization and in daily work. You understand the importance of contributing to common goals and ensure that your work strengthens the whole. You can independently drive and plan your work but enjoy collaborating and are willing to share your knowledge and experience. By being attentive, communicating, and showing respect for others' perspectives, you create an open and constructive collaborative climate where everyone can thrive.
We look forward to your application by December 7.
