About this role

About Us Contributing to development has been our passion since our inception in 1984. Our goal has always been to make our clients' everyday lives both easier and a bit more pleasant. This includes assistance with various types of business support such as accounting, taxes, and payroll management, as well as business development. We also help entrepreneurs with more complex matters, such as ownership transitions of companies or commercial properties. But it’s also about listening and being genuinely interested. We aim to be a sounding board that listens and brings people closer together. Many who turn to us do so because they want a long-term partner who sees the entrepreneur's whole picture, which includes both the business and the family, as well as the future. They appreciate a relaxed approach and value availability and loyalty more than lofty and complicated discussions about numbers. Are you looking for a varied role where you can take charge of both high and low tasks in a dynamic organization that wants to move forward? If so, this might be the opportunity for you. We are currently seeking an experienced payroll consultant who not only ensures quality in payroll processes but is also curious and wants to drive the development of the payroll business area using new technologies and digital solutions. The position will be based in one of our offices in Umeå, Skellefteå, or Vindeln, depending on where you currently reside. Your Responsibilities As a payroll consultant with us, you will be a qualified resource in managing the entire payroll process and related inquiries. In your role, you will work with all steps of the payroll process and maintain continuous dialogue with clients, authorities, and other parties. You will make labor law interpretations based on collective agreements and laws, analyze and process statistical data, and provide internal support to employees and managers regarding payroll-related matters. You will have client responsibility and be accountable for quotes, pricing, follow-up, and invoicing of payroll assignments. In your team leader role, you will be responsible for staffing, quality assurance, and the development of employees within the payroll business area, supporting the office manager in employee evaluations. You will report to the management team and the CEO. Your Profile We believe that you, as an applicant for this role, have several years of experience in qualified payroll work. It is advantageous if you have further education at the university level or equivalent training, as well as experience in payroll work for both salaried employees and hourly workers. Additionally, you have a good understanding of systems and knowledge of laws and agreement interpretations, as well as how collectively bargained insurances and occupational pensions function. Knowledge of accounting is a plus, but not a requirement. Experience in payroll work from an accounting firm is also a significant advantage. As a person, we believe you are solution-oriented, driven, unpretentious, and capable of building trust with integrity and good judgment. You possess strong analytical skills and are genuinely interested in working with numbers, statistics, and follow-ups. You enjoy taking responsibility, are accustomed to driving your own initiatives, and have a good habit of interpreting collective agreements. We are also looking for someone who not only wants to ensure high quality in payroll processes but is also curious about future opportunities. You have an interest in exploring and implementing new technologies and digital solutions that can streamline and develop the payroll business area. With your drive, you contribute to keeping us at the forefront and creating modern, sustainable, and innovative working methods. To fit in with us at value & friends, it is important that you are self-sufficient and proactive, with a positive and relationship-building demeanor. At the same time, you are meticulous, structured, and systematic, with a good ability to express yourself in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. Overall, you are a team player who excels at collaborating and cooperating with others and has the desire to always provide excellent service. Application We are collaborating with Clockwork Staffing & Recruitment. Please submit your application at www.clockworkpeople.se by December 31, 2025.
