Boverket is the national authority for planning, construction, and housing. We aim to contribute to a sustainable society with good housing in vibrant environments. Our focus is on built environments, land and water resource management, physical planning, construction and management of buildings, housing, and housing financing. Since July 2025, Boverket has also been a preparedness authority in the preparedness sector for industry, construction, and trade. Boverket has its main office located in Karlskrona, with a smaller office in Malmö. Today, approximately 240 people work at the authority, including architects, civil engineers, economists, lawyers, communicators, planners, and social scientists. Your Role with Us Are you a lawyer interested in societal development? Boverket's lawyers play a crucial role in interpreting legislation and, when applicable, influencing and shaping it. In the Support and Grants Unit, employees work on developing regulations, guidelines, and e-services for state housing market support and grants that Boverket is responsible for. Some supports are processed by Boverket, while others are handled by County Administrative Boards, with Boverket serving as the appellate instance. As a lawyer in this role, you will work on administrative decision-making. A key focus will be the legal handling of appealed cases. Other tasks include responding to referrals, providing legal support, and working on guidance and regulatory development. There may be opportunities to work in areas beyond the unit's primary scope. You will be part of a team with other experienced lawyers and case officers. Your Competence Profile We are seeking a lawyer with several years of current experience in relevant and qualified legal work. With your experience, you have the habit and ability to reason, evaluate, develop, and contextualize legal issues. You should have a law degree or other relevant legal academic qualification. It is advantageous if you have current experience in: • Administrative decision-making • Investigation work • Regulatory writing • Project work • Work with state aid To thrive as a lawyer at Boverket, you need to be analytical, meticulous, structured, and responsible. You should have a good ability to reason, evaluate, and develop legal issues. It is important that you can express yourself clearly and pedagogically, both verbally and in writing. You should be able to switch between different issues and work independently and systematically to meet set goals on schedule. At the same time, it is crucial that you are attentive, collaborative, and can communicate clearly in Swedish. Administrative decision-making requires objectivity, professionalism, and a high degree of service. We place great emphasis on these abilities. Employment This is a permanent position at the main office in Karlskrona. Start date is by agreement, but we hope our new lawyer can begin in January 2026.
