We are now seeking an experienced administrator for the Department for Business, Innovation and Markets, offering an exciting role at the center of events. Your workday. Sweden's tomorrow. The Department for Business, Innovation and Markets is looking for an administrator for innovation and research funding issues. The department works on matters and initiatives aimed at strengthening the conditions for companies to innovate and renew, enhancing the prerequisites for entrepreneurship, improving the regulatory framework for businesses, and promoting markets with effective competition. The department is responsible for, among others, Vinnova, the Swedish Patent and Registration Office, the research institute RISE, the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, and the Swedish Competition Authority. The department coordinates work related to EU regulations on state aid to businesses and serves as Sweden's contact point with the European Commission on state aid matters. The department is seeking a senior administrator who will work on issues and cases within innovation and research funding. The role includes, among other tasks: • Actively driving innovation and research-related issues within the Government Offices • Handling innovation and research funding matters • Participating in the preparatory work of the Government Offices • Preparing materials for political leadership The work involves extensive contacts and collaboration both internally within the Government Offices and externally with authorities, businesses, research and innovation environments, interest organizations, regions, and the EU. You have extensive experience working in or with innovation environments, innovation actors, or technology-intensive companies. Furthermore, you possess a good understanding of innovation issues and the Swedish innovation system. Proficiency in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required for the position. Meritorious for the position are: • Strong knowledge of policy development in the field of innovation • Very good knowledge of emerging technology areas • Good knowledge of new and growing innovative companies as well as business R&D • Experience working with defense innovation issues • Relevant experience in international collaborations related to research, innovation, or technology-intensive entrepreneurship • Experience from working within or with the Government Offices Your qualities The employee criteria of the Government Offices are wholeness, development, and results.
