The Södermalm Care and Support Unit consists of three equally sized areas with a total of six care and support facilities. The unit's mission is to provide person-centered care and support with a focus on the elderly's own resources and conditions. The unit is led by three area managers and thirteen unit managers. We have recently reviewed the management structure within the unit and increased the number of managers to enable close leadership. Welcome to us Nytorgsgården is a care and support facility centrally located in Södermalm, close to good transport links. It accommodates 37 care recipients with dementia who need security and support in their daily lives. In the coming years, the facility will expand to accommodate more care recipients. Therefore, we are looking for a forward-thinking unit manager who wants to be part of this transformation journey and drive development further. As a unit manager in the Södermalm district administration, you will receive management orientation, good support functions, and training initiatives and seminars on relevant operational and personnel issues. Your role In your role as unit manager, you will have overall responsibility for the unit's results, which includes managing staff, financial governance, and strategic operational issues. Your work will include employee conversations, salary discussions, and rehabilitation. You are expected to work closely with employees and our elderly, steering and leading the operations resource-efficiently with high quality towards set goals. The assignment also involves working with budgets, forecasts, and financial follow-ups, linking them to the development, goals, and assignments of the operations. You will report to and work closely with the area manager and be part of a local management group with other managers in the area. Your qualifications and experience We are looking for someone who has: - A university degree as a nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, or equivalent deemed suitable by the employer for the position. - Several years of relevant management experience with economic, personnel, and operational responsibility within elderly care. - Several years of relevant experience leading licensed personnel on the provider side within elderly care. - Good knowledge of the governing legislation of the operations (SoL and HSL). - Proficient Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. It is considered an advantage if you have: - Further education in leadership and organizational development. - Experience in change management/change work. - Experience from the private sector. - Experience from the City of Stockholm. - Specialist training in geriatrics, dementia, or similar. In the role of unit manager, you will work closely with your employees, residents, and relatives, which places high demands on interest in the specific target group and understanding of the challenges of the operations. You are secure and stable in your leadership role, with a good ability to maintain professionalism in your work. Your leadership style is based on clarity, structure, and stability. You are a role model and an example, inspiring learning, development, and change. With a curious approach, you challenge the known and seek dialogue and different perspectives in problem-solving. Furthermore, you have a strong ability to create engagement and participation. You are goal- and result-oriented, coaching and motivating your employees towards set goals. You drive your work independently, are proactive, and remain motivated even when facing obstacles. You enjoy change work. You have good collaboration skills and communicate clearly, ensuring that expectations are clear for all parties involved. You adapt your communication based on the individual, target group, and situation.
