About the Position
As a lathe operator, you will become an important part of a committed and competent team where operations include washing, blasting, disassembly/assembly, welding, and machining. You will work with an advanced four-axis lathe (X.Y.Z.C) equipped with drive units, rotating tools, angle head, and Siemens 840D SL control system. • Performing independent measurements of parts to ensure quality
• Establishing and filling out measurement protocols
• Performing basic operator maintenance
In this role, you have significant personal responsibility for the entire process – from preparations and measurement work to machining and final inspection. Accuracy and quality are always the focus. You will work in a shift team of two to three people and collaborate closely with other departments, such as production engineering and maintenance. Good communication, cooperation, and understanding of material flows are crucial to success in the role.
Who Are You?
We are seeking someone who has:
• Technical education / workshop training focused on cutting machining or equivalent education or experience (green card)
• Basic knowledge of blueprint reading
• Knowledge of CNC technology (preferably Siemens 840D)
• Worked with CNC, preferably turning, for at least 5 years
• Experience with turning heavy parts
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
• Driver's license B and crane operator's certificate
To succeed as a lathe operator, we see that you are a person with a keen eye for details and prioritize accuracy. You understand the importance of working methodically and systematically to ensure workpieces meet high quality and tolerance requirements. Safety is a matter of course for you, and you always work with a responsible safety mindset in everything you do. Your commitment is visible in your work – you take responsibility for your tasks, constantly seek improvements, and want to develop in your professional role. Additionally, you are a team player who values good cooperation and communication, both within the shift team and with other departments.
It is meritorious if you have experience with CAD/CAM and handling measuring tools. If you also have English language skills, that is a significant plus.
