About Us
Aleris Rehab Station is a national and international rehabilitation center. We help patients with acquired and congenital spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, and neurological injuries and diseases. We also offer personal assistance. We are located in a large, beautiful building in Frösundavik, Solna, combining old garrison premises, new living spaces, treatment rooms, and a restaurant. We have extensive research and educational activities and well-developed teamwork. We also have an MS-focused clinic in Liljeholmen. Aleris Rehab Station is part of Aleris Närsjukvård, which also includes ASIH, two specialized palliative care units, Basic Home Healthcare, and Uppsala Immediate Care.
The Role
We are seeking a personal assistant for a man in his 50s who uses a wheelchair and has a spinal cord injury. As a personal assistant, your tasks will include supporting and helping him with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, transfers, meal assistance, cleaning, accompanying him on activities and outings like gym visits, forest walks, or other activities. The client speaks for himself and lives with his partner and two cats in an apartment in central Norrtälje. Work hours will be during the day, evening/night, and weekends.

About You
We are looking for someone who is structured, organized, loyal, and attentive. A interest in sports and training is welcome. You should value providing good care and high-quality service. Through your commitment, professional approach, and communication skills, you will create good relationships with the client and your colleagues, becoming a valuable team member. It is important that you act with common sense and have a strong customer focus. You need to have a well-developed intuition, be empathetic, and understand when to be active and when to be passive in your work.
Background
You are someone with a strong interest in working with people. This role requires previous experience working as a personal assistant and/or in healthcare and social services. Requirements for this position include excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. We appreciate an interest in training and ability to assist at the gym, as well as an interest in cooking.
